Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. Promise Memory Verse
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” – Isaiah 40:8
Of course not, this verse means that God’s Word will never be destroyed. How can that be since the Bible is made of paper which can get ruined? Nothing can erase God’s message of truth.
Before paper was invented, the Bible was written on stone, wood or clay tablets. Eventually it ended up being hand printed on parchment paper which was glued together and rolled up to make scroll.
Around 560 years ago, a machine was invented that could quickly write the word of God on paper which was turned into one a book.
The Old Testament in the Bible was originally written in Hebrew or Aramaic. The New Testament was put into words in Greek. We never have to guess what each verse means because God’s Word has only one meaning.
The Bible is filled with the true history of things that happened thousands of years ago. Some of it even tells us what will happen in the future this is called prophecy. God’s Word also mentions what He wants each of us to know right now during the Church Age.
How can God know the future? Does He have your teddy bear call Him up and tell Him what you have been up to? Of course not, your stuffed animals are made to snuggle with you.
God alone knows everything about all of us, such as what every person’s favorite food is, if they are feeling happy, sad or sick and even whom they will get married to.
Some people lie and say that they know what our future is, but that isn’t true, there is no such thing as person that knows our future. Fortune tellers are fakers; they can’t look into a crystal ball and know anything about us.
Both the Old and New Testament in the Bible mentions things that will
happen in the future. When Jesus comes back for the Millennium, wild animals like leopards, and lions and even snakes won’t hurt little kids. People might even have 900 candles to blow out on their birthday cakes.
