Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. ‘But He answered and said, ‘It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone,
but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’Matthew 4:4
Your body needs food in order to grow up to be an adult. Did you know that your soul needs to eat too? What kind of meal does it like; do you think that its bacon and eggs or spaghetti and meat balls?
No, your soul eats when you learn what’s in the Bible. The very first thing that God wants you to know is how to get eternal life and be saved so that you will get to live with Him forever when you die.
All you have to do is have faith that the Lord Jesus Christ who was perfect in every way, died on the cross for all of the bad things you think, do and say. In other words instead of you getting punished for lots and lots of awful things that you did, Jesus, who is God’s Son volunteered to be punished instead of you while He hung on the cross.

Your soul will continue to get hungrier and hungrier every day, that’s why it’s important to make sure it gets fed by listening to God’s Word that is found in the Bible. The more you eat with your soul, that happier that you will get.
The Bible is also alive? Does that mean it turns into a zombie in the middle of the night? No way, there are no such things as zombies. The words in the Bible will help you in everything you do if you let them, just like it assisted other people thousands of years ago. It’s never expires or dies.
The edges of a Bible aren’t sharp, but it’s also called a sword? Does this mean that when you pick it up that you have to be careful that you don’t cut yourself on it? No, but it teaches you to understand whether you are doing things for the right or the wrong reasons. It shows you the truth about yourself.
Does that mean it lift weights, and go to the gym? No, but God is so strong that after The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, God was able to make Him come back to life.
The Bible has 66 books and is divided into the Old and New Testament. The New Testament is found in the second half of the Bible. The first 4 books of the New Testament are called the gospels. Gospel means good news. Today we learned about how Jesus paid for our sins when He died on the cross for every person in the whole world, isn’t that the best news ever!
Let’s memorize the gospels.
