The B-I-B-L-E

Part 4

Eternity Past, Age of Gentiles, Age of Israel, Hypostatic Union, Church Age, Tribulation, Millennium, Eternal future

Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. Promise Memory Verse

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105

Does this memory verse above mean that our Bible needs batteries so that it can turn into a flashlight when we open it? No, but it shines a light on what is true or false.

The Bible which is God’s Word, is like a Giant spot light because it show us the path that we need to take in order to get eternal life. It also shines brightly and lets us know that once we get eternal life that it can’t ever be lost or taken away. The 2 verses below explain it.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:28

It even puts a sunbeam on what we need do when we make mistakes because we will always keep on doing bad things even though we have eternal life. This is also how we get God the Holy Spirit’s power, which is called the filling of the Holy Spirit.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

God put His instructions in the Bible to help and guide every one of us. His true words even blaze a trail that we need to take in order to be happy and to solve our problems. The story about Junie below shows us what happens when we don’t follow God’s path.

One day when Junie was at school, a blinding blizzard came out of nowhere! The wind was blowing so hard that many of the roads drifted shut. A lot of people were trying to pick their kids up from school, but they couldn’t tell where the streets were and quite a few cars slid into the ditches.

The principal decided that the kids, whose parents were unable to pick them up, would have to spend the night at the school. He had the teachers set up cots for them to sleep on.

When Junie saw the little beds being set up in the gym, she started panicking because she had never spent the night anywhere before. The little girl put her coat and boots on and peeked out the door. When nobody was looking, she snuck outside and began to walk home.

Her house wasn’t that far away but the whirling snow was coming

down faster and faster. Her feet felt like popsicles and her legs were frozen. She couldn’t tell where the alley was that led to her back yard because huge drifts covered the path.

Every time she tried taking a step in the snow, it covered up her entire leg. She didn’t know what to do, so she started crying and screaming for help. Finally she saw a bright light shining in the alley; it was her dad coming to her rescue.
