Promise Memory Verse

“ and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”

John 10:28

Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. Luke 15:11-24

Jesus was telling a story:  A man had two sons. The youngest one asked his dad for his share of his inheritance. His dad divided up his wealth between both of them. The younger son couldn’t wait to get away from the family and have fun with all of that money. He packed up everything he owned and went to a far away land. I’ll bet his dad missed him so much and wondered everyday where he was.

That son kept on spending his money on stupid things and wasting it until every cent was gone. He didn’t even worry about having a place to live or enough food to eat. Right after he did this, there was a famine (shortage of food) in the country he was living in. He was hungry all of the time; but there wasn’t anything to eat.

He finally found a job feeding a farmer’s pigs. The young son was so hungry that even the pig food looked good to him. Pig food can be pretty disgusting; they were fed stuff like corn husks, pods and garbage. Can you imagine eating that?

One day he had a wonderful idea. He would go home to his father. He didn’t think

his father would want him as a son anymore, so he would ask his dad helpers to hire him to work in the fields. The hired help always had plenty of food to eat.

One day his father took a look in the distance and couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his son coming back home. He was so excited that he ran out to kiss and hug him! The son told his dad that he had sinned against heaven and in his sight and that he wasn’t even worthy to be called his son.

Instead of hiring him, his dad gave him new clothes, shoes and a ring to wear and threw him a big party with plenty of food, dancing and singing. He was so thankful that his son was alive and not dead! He let his son know that no matter what he had done, that he was still a part of the family forever.

This story shows that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are all in God’s family. No matter what we do, our Heavenly Father loves us. When we make bad decisions, we need to rebound. God doesn’t kick us out of His family ever. He welcomes us with open arms. (Eternal security)

“ and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”

John 10:28

There is another lesson we can learn as well. God always wants us to be thankful for everything we have. The younger son didn’t appreciate everything that he had until he lost it all. He was sure thankful his father forgave him!

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Right now, we are all going through a hard time. Some people are sick and in order for us not to get sick, we have to stay home. There are so many things that aren’t allowed to do right now. What do you miss?

Now boys and girls, let’s all take time to thank God the Father for everything that you underlined, make sure before you do this that you rebound any known sins to God the Father first. Next, if you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; thank Him for letting you stay in his family forever and ever. No matter what you do, He will always love and care about you.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, simply tell God the Father you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He died on the cross for all of the bad things you think, do and say. After He died for you, He came back to life in three days. If you have done this, then you are in God’s family forever.
