Are you Foolish or Wise?  – Part 2

Eternity Past, Age of Gentiles, Age of Israel, Hypostatic Union, Church Age, Tribulation, Millennium, Eternal future

Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Simply privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God the Holy Spirit and He will teach you Bible truth. Promise Memory Verse

“A fool always loses his temper, but a wise man holds it back.” Proverbs 29:11

One day the lunch lady was making pizza slices, and setting out salads, banana’s, and chips for the kids to buy. There were a lot of students in line. She noticed that one of the boys had stolen a bag of Doritos and a pizza slice.

He was steaming mad when the lunch lady told him that he would have to bring sack lunches for the next month because he had stolen from the school! He kicked the garbage can really hard on his way back to class!

The next day, he brought his lunch to school and decided to get her back.

He waited until she wasn’t looking and just before lunch was over he took an apple over to the microwave and set it to cook for 15 minutes.

I’ll bet you will never guess what happened? The microwave started smoking and it looked like ten apples had exploded everywhere. Apple slime oozed out of the microwave and whole cafeteria smelled like burnt apple pie and melted plastic.

It was very foolish for the boy to be so angry with the lunch lady. He was the one who stole food in the first place. The wise boy would have been the one who paid attention to God’s Word and confessed his anger and that he stole pizza and chips. Instead the boy got suspended from school for a week and had to miss his field trip to the zoo.

God doesn’t want you to explode just like that apple did by throwing a temper tantrum or getting back at the person that you are mad at.

When you are angry, you hurt everyone else around you as well as yourself. God doesn’t want you to let the sun go down on your anger. This means to never go to bed while you are mad.

Always rebound your anger right away or you will be an unhappy person all of the time.

“Do not let the sun go down on your anger.” Ephesians 4:26b

Exodus 1:8 – 2:11-15

One day the evil Pharaoh of Egypt decided that he hated the Jewish people living there. He had them all captured and made them into slaves which means, that they were all prisoners and had to work very hard making bricks, building cities and working in the fields. The cruel Egyptians in charge of them made their lives very tough and they even beat them with a whip all the time.

A few hundred years went by and the next Pharaoh of Egypt hated the Jewish people so much that he made a horrible rule. Every baby boy that was born was supposed to be thrown into the Nile River. Baby Moses was born during this time. His mom hid him for 3 months.

She didn’t want her little boy to die, so she put him in a wicker basket and coved it with tar so it wouldn’t sink and pushed him into the reeds in the Nile River. His sister Miriam watched to see what would happen. The Pharaoh’s daughter ended up finding the basket and she decided to adopt baby Moses and raise him as her son.

One day after Moses had grown up; he went outside and started watching his own people who were slaves. They were working really hard. Moses got super angry when he saw one of the Egyptian’s beating one of the Hebrew people and ended up murdering him and burying him in the sand.

Moses thought he would get away with it, but some people saw what he did. The Pharaoh also found out what happened and tried to kill him. Moses ended up running away from his life in Egypt and going to a faraway place called Midian because he was foolish with his anger.

If you stay angry, you are a fool and you will make your life miserable just like the boy in the cafeteria and Moses did. Be wise, Rebound right away every day. Be right with God.
