Gal 5:16

Hello kids! Today we are going to learn more about the way God has prepared for you.
Let’s look at this by using football as a way to explain it. That is all you see on TV on the weekends, right?
God’s special path is like the plan for the game.

The team owners (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) have supplied all your uniforms and the field to play on.
The offense coordinator (God the Father) has given you a play book, it’s called the Bible.
Your coach (God the Holy Spirit) supplies you with power to understand the playbook so that you understand the plays.

You need God the Holy Spirit as much as players need their coach.
What’s better is that you don’t have to keep running off the field to know what He, the coach, is telling you because He is right inside of you!
You will get confused sometimes trying to figure out what the next direction you should choose. Call a time out!

Go to the sideline so you can talk to your coach (pray). It’s easier to hear directions when all around you is quiet.
God even tells you to go to a quiet place because He knows this. He has watched a Seahawks game when the fans are making so much noise!
Sometimes a player wants to get all the attention and do his own thing. It’s just like you choosing to do things your way.

You don’t go to God for help. What happens? Most of the time disasters! You miss a pass, you fumble, or worse yet the other team gets the ball and runs with it.
That would be Satan leading you in the opposite direction that God wants you to go. Will this be a winning game? No.
God wrote the book through men that were inspired, God created a specific plan for you to excel in, in this world, and God wants you scoring touchdowns after touchdowns.

Many times the coach will hug a team player after he makes a super play.
I even saw when a Patriots player give his touchdown ball to the coach because he was so grateful to the coach for allowing him to play that game play.
That made his coach happy. Picture God, who loves you so much more, and you bring Him glory by giving Him the credit!
Picture Him hugging you after you choose His way instead of yours. How much more motivation do you need than that?
Love God and put your best effort into following His playbook!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always; pray without ceasing;

in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
