Authority: the power or right to give orders, or make decisions
Permission: the act of officially allowing someone to do a particular thing; consent
Hello kids! Today we are going to learn about the sovereignty of the Holy Spirit.
Sovereignty means top rank, final authority - the one that calls the shots.
Your choices still matter, but there are things that He can do without your permission.
The Holy Spirit wants to be sure unbelievers know they need a Savior.
After the unbeliever is saved He has tons more work to do. He places you in union with Jesus Christ!
The Holy Spirit also comes to live right inside of you too. He can protect, guide, teach, and comfort you.
The more you know Him the more you will see Him do these things.
The Holy Spirit acts and then you reply in thought or actions.
There is nothing in the scriptures that says, if you do this, the Spirit will do that.
Read Joh 16:13-15 and you will see He just does it! When you are studying the word of God, the Holy Spirit reveals the truth to you.
You read something, your teacher explains what it means, but then the light bulb goes off in your head.
Well that's the Holy Spirit doing His job. Say yes when He is helping you.
"The Spirit Himself testifies
with our spirit that we
are children of God."
(Rom 8:16)
