The LORD’s gave one of HIS most powerful messages just before His deaths on the Cross (deaths is in the plural and refers to spiritual death and natural death.

Now, this is an important way of coming to the truth.

Because we are talking about two forms of death - (His natural death and His spiritual death) which are about to take place. Under this principle never forget the importance of the original language. That is one of the most important principles that we need to be sure of the translation that we are about to come to. We also need to make sure that the categories of doctrine are precise and right to the point of revealing the truth, especially when we compare scripture with scripture.

Let me illustrate this by one passage in the book of Genesis.

The first time that dying or death is used is in GEN 2:17.

First of all, let’s read the two verses that I am about to reveal to you from the original language of scripture.

GEN 2:16 we read And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely;

However, in GEN 2:17, Moses writes, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, [now, watch it because here it comes] for in the day that you eat from it [that day you eat from the wrong tree] for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.

And when Moses who was inspired by God the Holy Spirit said the day you eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in that day you will muwth muwth or literally dying spiritually and die physically.

Here is where the principle of ICE comes into the picture again.

Bible doctrine must be taught based upon three principles.

  1. Isagogics is the historical setting of the passage.

  1. Categories is the systematic theology developed from combining Scripture with Scripture.

  1. Exegesis is the grammatical and syntactical analysis of the passage from the original languages.

Did Adam and the woman both die the day that ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil? Well, they immediately had a death, but it was a spiritual death not a physical death.

Adam and the woman did not die physically because right after that they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they had sexual relations.

And that is why GEN 3:20 says, Now the man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all the living.

This is why you need to study the basic doctrines of the Christian Faith. If you are only born once, that means you die twice. Once at physical death and then secondly, at what is called Theologically the Second Death; REV 2:11; 20:6; 20:14; 21:8, Spiritual death.

It is said about believers, in REV 2:11, they shall not be hurt by the second death. If you asked the average believer today if our Lord died for them, the majority of believers would say that they really do believe that our Lord died for them. If our Lord died for us then why do we have to die physically? Well, HE died for us spiritually, thus we do not have to experience that second death, the spiritual death. Now, notice how the apostle Paul describes the problem and then he also gives us the reasons that we need to be in touch with God. The apostle Paul then says and teaches us the solutions to the problems.

So that we have the divine solutions mentioned in Eph 4:18.

  1. In Eph 4:18, we have the first doctrinal evaluation where we read that believers allow negative thoughts to influence their decision making because they are filled with the thoughts of darkness that they learned from the Cosmic System. This qualifies them to live and dwell in the Cosmos.

This is also the last description for the loser believer because they allow certain thought to penetrate their soul and spirit and reject the doctrinal solutions that our Lord gave to mankind.

This means the apostle Paul was very careful when he was forced to communicate the divine solutions for the problems that we need to solve and that can only happen when believers have PVTD.

So, once again these are believers that the apostle Paul is challenging so that they will make decisions based upon doctrine and not based upon the so-called religious orders of his day.

Again, EPH 4:17-18, This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,

EPH 4:18   being darkened in their understanding,

Now, the next phrase is very interesting because it says that “there are a lot of believers who are excluded from the life of God….and may I say we have some of them right here in our local assembly.

They have the same weakness from arrogance that Satan had in ISA 14:12-14, and that is the sin of independence and the rejection of that real truth. It is not a real truth because it comes directly from Satan and we know that he is a liar.

It’s the real truth because GOD the Holy Spirit inspired it and HE is GOD which means He cannot lie or even look upon sin.

So again in EPH 4:18, being darkened in their understanding, they are excluded from the life of God. This is the only solution for believers who have negative volition toward doctrine because their negative volition is affecting them in two major realms whereby: They come right out and say “No” to God, They will not gather together with other believers and enjoy the life of God. There are a lot of times when individuals think they are getting away with something or they believe that they got away with something only to find out that their GOD was being patient toward them.

1JO 3:7, Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil;

This means that the individual believer or the unbeliever can actually claim that they are students either of GOD or Satan by the way they live. If they practice sin, then they are students of the one that they are practicing to live by which means that sin comes from the sin nature which every believer still has after the day of their salvation. When a believer walks in darkness and not the light, then his walk now becomes his lifestyle. And that is one of the main reasons that you have heard me teach that many times you cannot even tell who the believers are or who the unbelievers are.

1JO 3:8-11, the apostle John writes; The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;
